For some people, late-night time is the time when they are more creative. Fortunately this is not always bad. There are surprising healthy benefits behind your staying habits.

But keep in mind, if you sleep late and then get up early, this can undo the healthy benefits of staying awake late. This new benefit you can get by sleeping late, then wake up at a later time.

"There are several benefits of staying awake late, and one of them, of course, makes you more productive and creative," said Dr. Sharad Paul, launch Bustle, Thursday (4/27/2017).
"The ability to stay alive is associated with the activity of adenosine in the brain, and this is the same receptor to which caffeine is targeted.Many studies have shown, people with excessive adenosine activity are naturally more comfortable working at night (while staying awake)."

For those of you who are used to staying awake until 2 am, you need know some of the benefits of staying awake:

1. Smarter

People who often stay awake may be smarter. A study published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences found that the more intelligent children usually sleep more hours of the night. They also wake up in the afternoon, both on school days and weekends.

Even though staying awake does not make you smarter. However, if your body clock is more productive at night, this might be the explanation behind it.

2. Increase strength

Having a habit of staying awake naturally can even have benefits for your physical performance. Researchers from the University of Alberta found, though the strength of morning people was consistent through out the day, the night people showed their peak strength at night.

According to Olle Lagerquist, Ph.D., one of the study's authors, this could be due to an increase in motor cortex and spine strength at night.

3. Ability to provide creative solutions

There is a reason why many people enjoy working at night. This is more provocative of their creativity.

A study published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences found that workers tonight were more likely to give creative ideas than those who were morning people.

4. Increase alertness

You may think, staying awake at night will make you difficult to focus. However, as long as you get enough sleep, this will increase alertness.

A study published in the journal Science found that night workers in general can go beyond the ability of morning workers in how long they can be awake and mentally alert before feeling mentally exhausted.

5. More likely to take risks

This can be both positive and negative. Researchers from the University of Chicago found that night workers tend to be those who dare to take risks.

When it comes to gambling, it is not a good thing. However, if you talk business or start a new business, being a brave night worker can be useful.

6. A quieter morning

Waking up has its own enjoyment. Although some studies show that night workers tend to have higher levels of cortisol in general, their cortisol is lower in the morning than those who are early morning hobbies.

That is, in the morning the workers of this evening feel more relaxed and calm than the people of the morning.
